A personal design service

Plantagenta is a small London studio specialising in the design of courtyard and town gardens. We take on a handful of projects a year and give each one the attention it deserves.

Every garden begins with the design, commissioned in its own right: survey, concept and a full planting plan, priced as the piece of work it is. It is the difference between a garden that dates and one that grows better every year.

Projects are designed and led by founder Alexander van Hoogstraten.

The team

The studio is three people: Alexander on design, Henry in the gardens and Jonathan in the head office. Small enough to know every garden by name.
